Founded by Şahin Gülci and based in Türkiye, Badformat exists to create software and games with a minimalist mindset. We are not interested in adding features simply to make a product feel bigger. Instead, we focus on removing distractions, refining every detail, and creating experiences that feel intuitive from the very first interaction. We believe simplicity is not about doing less. It is about doing only what truly matters, and doing it exceptionally well.

Every project begins with curiosity. Sometimes it starts with a small problem we want to solve. Sometimes it comes from an idea we wish already existed. Other times it is simply an opportunity to explore a different way of building software or creating interactive experiences. We do not limit ourselves to a single platform or category. Whether it is a mobile application, a desktop tool, a game, or an experimental project, every product is developed with the same philosophy: keep it simple, build it well, and make it worth using.

As an independent publisher, we have the freedom to create without following trends or chasing short-term success. We take our time to refine ideas, remove unnecessary complexity, and focus on the details that people actually notice. We believe quality comes from patience, thoughtful decisions, and a willingness to improve until something feels right.

Performance, usability, and longevity are at the center of everything we create. We want our software to feel fast, our interfaces to feel natural, and our games to provide memorable experiences without unnecessary complexity. Every line of code, every design decision, and every interaction should have a purpose. Nothing should exist without a reason.

Our goal is not to publish as many products as possible. Our goal is to publish software and games that we are genuinely proud to put our name on. If a product does not meet our standards, we continue improving it until it does. We believe people remember products that respect their time, solve meaningful problems, or create experiences worth returning to. That is the standard we strive for with every project we publish, today and in the future.
